What's at Market? Week of July 24- July 30

Two new veggies this week: Leeks and Fingerling Potatoes.

People always ask what they can do with leeks, other than potato leek soup. I always suggest using leeks in place of onions for certain recipes. And if you must have the leeks with potatoes (maybe some of our just picked fingerlings???) then go for a potato leek salad or use the leeks in a breakfast casserole. They're always a nice light and tasty addition to most dishes.

We're finally feeling like it might be summer around here. The tomatoes seem to be building up to their peak production. We've been giddy tasting all the different varieties. If you have any variety questions at market, don't hesitate to ask. See you at market!
